When I had Baby Skibbles, her safety was my top priority. We had what I considered a great infant car seat, but as Baby Skibbles is growing bigger, we knew that we would need a convertible car seat soon. I, at that time, had no idea about Diono or that there were options for me to only purchase one car seat from birth to the end of booster years. With minimal research done, I quickly learned that Diono was the highly sought after car seat for (most) parents. Mention Energy absorbing foam, 5 point harness, LATCH installation, rear facing tether, side impact protection, and award winning car seat to any mom and you are guaranteed to spark her attention.

We also quickly took notice of the clearly printed safety and warning instructions on the Diono. I love that some of the proper seating instructions are printed right on the sides of the seat so that I have a quick reminder of proper positioning when the time comes without always having to bring the manual out.

Installation was a breeze. There is a detachable base that is necessary for rear facing the car seat, but all your have to do is insert and lock into plan. Then, the manual explains what the best method is for securing the car seat. It goes in depth with pictures to detail for nine types of installation including multiple forward and rear facing options (LATCH option available), as well as aircraft and booster options.

All of them? I am in love with the fact that it's a birth-to-booster. Literally the only car seat I will need for my kids. My daughter is SUPER tall, so the extended rear-facing is nice too!
I love that it has aluminum reinforced side walls! So important in collisions.
I have been looking all around for a new car seat for my big guy and this just might be the answer! Wonderful review and I love that it will fit 3 across!
My favorite feature is that it's a 5 point harness till 80 lbs!
Aside from the fact there's a plum?! I really appreciate that the cover is machine washable and dryable. My daughter has FPIES and can get very sick I hate not being able to throw her things into the washer.
I love how long you can use the 5 point harness!<br />
I love that it folds flat for travel and is FAA certified! This is so important when traveling!
The small footprint is hands-down the absolute best thing about it! I have 3 kids in car seats in a 5-passenger car! Please, pick me!
i love that it goes from birth to booster
I LOOOVE that its rear racing until 45lbs also, that its taller so they dont max out the height before weight so they can be rear facing as long as possible- there are only like 3 other carseats with a 45lb plus for rear facing and this one takes the cake, even more so than the more exspensive ones! 🙂
I hope this is considered a "feature". But I love that it has been NCAP crash tested, the industry benchmark for verifying child seat performance in severe accident conditions
I love that it can hold a child up to 120lbs and that it folds flat for travel
My favorite feature is that it folds flat and that it has aluminum reinforced side walls.
I love that it folds up to be a spacesaver
I like the superlatch system so install is easy
Comfortably seats rear-facing children from 5-45 lbs, forward-facing children from 20-80 lbs in a 5-point harness, then converts to a booster for children up to 120 lbs.
Fits 3 across and can be collapsed for storage. Brilliant!
I love that it's a one time car seat. Infant, forward facing and booster
IT has energy absorbing EPS foam.
I like that it's useful from birth til they're in a booster. I hate having to buy 3, sometimes 4 different seats
I love that it can be used all the way to 120 pounds! And of course the safety features!
Question: With the rear facing base, how would I use this with the seat protector? It seems the feet of the base would have to be wedged into where the seat meets the back of the seat. With this seam being covered up by the protector, I cannot wedge the feet in. Any suggestions?
Hi Kay – The seat protector is not to be used when rearfacing according to the manufacturer (for this reason)
