This dish completely came on a whim. I really have no idea how, but it’s simple and amazing and done in less than 30 minutes. What more could you really ask for?
Growing up my mom made more boxes of Hamburger Helper™ more than I would like to admit. Most of our dinners came from some type of box. So, when I went off to college, I repeated what I knew. Then, I started experimenting in the kitchen and realized that it was actually almost as easy to make these meals from scratch and they ALWAYS tasted better and were healthier for me (now us). I still love to play around and experiment in the kitchen and this dish is made for all the moms that want to ditch the box!
1 tbsp organic olive oil
1lb hamburger, grass fed preferred (any ground meat will work)
1 Homemade BBQ Sauce recipe
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 cups organic rotini pasta, cooked
Grated Parmesan cheese, if desired
Brown hamburger in oil. Drain any excess grease. Add bbq sauce and stir over medium until well combined. Add mozzarella and cheddar cheese and stir until melted. Add in cooked rotini noodles and stir gently until meal is well combined. If desired, top with Parmesan cheese. Serve with salad and/or garlic bread. Enjoy!
