Get Organized with Amazon Prime Photos

Have a blog and your computers’ storage from holding pictures quickly diminishes. Have a blog and two babies within 3 years and you are scrambling to figure out how in the world to quickly find more storage. This is my life. My solution prior to learning about Amazon Cloud Drive was to just buy new memory cards, take as many pictures as the card would allow, and repeat. Now, I’m stuck with years of pictures on dozens of memory cards with no real clue as to what is on any of them. Then, one day, the inevitable happened. A memory card broke. Now, I have thousands of pictures I can’t even access. Luckily, this card happened to be mainly of pictures from college, so while upsetting, it’s not the end of the world if I can’t find someone to extract them for me. But, I knew I couldn’t let this happen again, especially with pictures of our daughters. Naturally, I’ve pushed this off for way to long.

Insert- Amazon Cloud Drive. We’ve had Amazon Prime now for about a year and we love it but I never realized one of the benefits is an Amazon Cloud Drive feature that allows you to storage up to MB for FREE. That’s right free. It was incredibly fast to set up and I’m easily able to sort all our pictures into folders so I know exactly which ones I’m looking for when I access Amazon Cloud Drive from my Mac or iPhone. There is an option to upgrade to an unlimited plan, but there was plenty for me to start.

After getting everything set up, I was able to easily and quickly start adding pictures.  Once I added them, it just took a few simple clicks to set up the folders that I needed to start organizing my folders.  I love that I will be able to add as many folders as I need to sort the photos by blogging activities and by the ages and stages of our children. I am thrilled to save the space on both my phone and computer after doing this!

In addition to photos, you can also store videos, music, files, and movies. If you already have Amazon Prime, you already have access to Amazon Cloud Drive with Prime Photos which allows for 5GB of storage.  If you need more storage, there’s more options available to you! Learn more here.
