DIY Holiday Bows with New Jersey Lottery Holiday Games

In September, we worked with the New Jersey Lottery to tell our readers about the fastest way to play and win (read more about that here)! We are excited to be working with them again for the holidays to let you know about FOUR brand new Holiday Instant Games — $1 Holiday Cheer, $2 Holiday Luck Times 10, $5 Holiday Sparkle, and $10 Season’s Gold.  The top prizes range from $2,000 to $1,000,000.

What’s even better is that today we’re sharing a super fun way to make these tickets into an awesome holiday present. Everyone loves cash.  Everyone loves surprises.  Okay, only most people love surprises.  However, when cash is potentially involved, I’m going to go ahead and say that everyone loves prizes.  We’ve created a holiday bow that can be used two ways.  You can purchase and make these for your own home and when people come over to your house you can encourage them to take a New Jersey lottery ticket off and see if they won.  You can also make these bows and give the entire bow as a gift to someone.  The bow is made from 10 tickets and and the “ribbons” are made from 4 tickets on each side.  You can use a combination of any of the Holiday Instant Games from the New Jersey lottery to make your own bow decoration.

To make the bow– simply fold into a triangle and staple the corner (where my fingers are in the picture below). Make a total of 10 triangles.  Then fan together 5 of them and staple them so they stay together.  Do the same with the remaining 5 triangles.  Then staple together the two sets of 5.  This makes your bow. Then, to the back of the bow staple a sheet (we used four tickets on one sheet) to each side to appear as two ribbons coming down from the bow. Lastly, if hanging, staple a rubberband to the back of the bow.  Hang!  That’s it!

Whether you use these tickets for stocking stuffer, party favors, or make them into an actual gift like we did, they are sure to be a hit.  These Holiday Instant Games are available at any local Lottery retailer like Wawa and Shop-rite.  Making these bows is not only insanely easy to do, but it also makes your life stress free.  Walk in, purchase, put together, and wham, bam, holiday presents are done.

We plan to give the bows we made to those “hard to buy for” people in our lives and we can’t wait to see their reactions if they win big!  I know that for us, if we won on a NJ Lottery Holiday Instant ticket, that we would probably use that money to go towards a trip away.  We both need one!

This holiday season think about giving the gift of the NJ Lottery for the Holidays.  Watch the video to learn more about the NJ Lottery Holiday Instant tickets.

Disclaimer: Must be 18 or older to but a lottery ticket. Please play responsibly. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER®. Parents are urged to think twice about gifting lottery tickets to children. For more information visit New Jersey Lottery
