3 Months Post Baby: Our Little Girl’s Growing Up

February 23, 2013 by Larisha Campbell 5 Comments

I have gotten really far away from what the blog was originally about and that was keeping my family in the loop via the blog about all things baby. Luckily I made myself promise that by the time she turned 3 months I had to be caught up with all the reviews and giveaways so I could focus specifically on sharing more about parenthood and share my recipes again! (Don’t worry I still have giveaways coming for you)

I really can’t believe it’s been 3 months since my little girl was born. Everyone always says time flies by but wow. I feel like just yesterday I was having her. I know, I know….before I know it she be graduating (don’t remind me) πŸ™‚

Here it is…..(I promise today won’t be super long) …in a nutshell.

So realizing I never even blogged about her birth, our daughter was born November 23rd after just 15 hours of labor.  I had a wonderful natural birth {post on our birth story later}.  I could not have had a better support person than my babe!  He was wonderful!

The past three months have been the happiest (and hardest) 3 months of my life. I mean seriously I never knew I could have so much overwhelming joy for such a tiny little person.  She is so perfect.
Daddy has been amazing. He is just as in love with her. I laughed the other day when we went to a baby shower and someone asked at what age are daughters allowed to date and he yelled 40! He is VERY protective of his little girl.

We made it to 3 months exclusively breastfeeding. This is where when I say that hardest 3 months comes in.  We didn’t have an easy start to breastfeeding but I stuck with it and she’s never had anything else. To be honest. She’s never even had a bottle. She does have a dairy allergy so I am completely dairy free which is soooo hard. I am craving cheese something serious ( a lot more of breastfeeding in future posts).

Cloth Diapering is going amazing. I LOVE never having to buy diapers. Never running out of diapers. My favorites are my bum genius. Hipkiddo bamboo/cotton for overnight. And my Glow Bugs. I do admit I have a slight diaper fixation so while I don’t technically have to buy more, I always find something I need!

She is awake so much more now. It’s weird having to try to entertain someone that really can’t do much. She is trying to roll over but hasn’t quite got there yet. She does have some toys that she is starting to play with and believe it or not teething has already started. She one big drool ball.

That’s the last 3 months in a big nutshell.

More updates soon <3
