Sunshine Berry Smoothie + Time for Mom

June 10, 2014 by Larisha Campbell 2 Comments

I am head over heals in love with a beautiful little girl!  She brings me so much incredible joy that I simply never knew what possible.  There are many mornings though that she has me completely on the go that I barely have time to wrap my head around anything, let alone making myself breakfast!  I know for a fact that I’ve had more smoothies in the last 18+ months of her life than I have the entire 27 years before she was born.  But as a mother I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Many mornings I am stuck right here in a position just like this.  Skibbles has fallen asleep, not feeling well, teething, etc, etc, etc, and she won’t let me get up.  It’s these moments, I’m thankful for great smoothies that allow me to still get proper nutrition.
Ingredients:
1 cup coconut milk (or any type of milk)
5 large strawberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1 cup fresh pineapple
1 cup fresh mango
1 cup ice
Directions:
Add all ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth.
Smoothie Tips:  If you smoothie is too thick add a little more milk.  If you smoothie is too thin, add more ice. If you use frozen fruit, don’t add the ice.
Sometimes I’m too lazy to even make a smoothie and instead I just eat it in a bowl of fruit.  I also love having grapefruit in the morning!  Did you know that grapefruit actually helps to halt hunger cravings?  What is your favorite fruit?
Are you on Pinterest?  We’d love for you to share one of our photos to your account.  This way you never loose the recipe and your friends get to enjoy too!
