Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce Review & Giveaway

October 25, 2012 by Larisha Campbell 26 Comments

About the company:
Country Bob’s was perfected in 1968 and started being sold in 1977.  Located in Illinois, the reaction to their famous sauce was overwhelming.  Their product line has expanded to also include BBQ sauce, Seasoning Salt, Apple Chipotle and Honey Habanero All Purpose Sauces.  The credit all of their success to God, with their tag line “Christ is our CEO”.

I was so excited to be sent two bottles of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce to review. A few weeks ago we mentioned that we cooked filet mignon at home and it was wonderful.  We have cooked it again a few times since then and I knew when I received Country Bob’s that I wanted to try it again with this.
I actually marinated the filet in the sauce for about 30 minutes prior to cooking and then once it was finished cooking, we used it to dip in as well.   It turned out amazing.  Andrew enjoyed it and we both commented that it had a nice tangy taste that was very satisfying.  Though I haven’t tried, I believe would make for an amazing BBQ chicken sauce.  It’s the perfect compliment for any gathering or picnic.
Also, we closely try to watch our sodium intake because of Andrew’s high blood pressure, so I was very excited to see that Country Bob’s has 120mg LESS sodium than the A1 Sauce that we typically use. This is something that is very important to us and was a great surprise to see the difference in a sauce that doesn’t say lower sodium.
We must say the recipes on their page look pretty yummy too!

I would like to try their Barbecue Sauce. I have a recipe for making pulled pork in the slow cooker, and I think this sauce would taste great in it!
