Sip into Summer with Washington Lake Park Wine Festival – Sewell, NJ

June 14, 2014 by Larisha Campbell Leave a Comment

I’m admittedly not even close to being a wine connoisseur.  However, we have been drinking wine more within the last year after the doctor recommended it to Andrew for his high blood pressure.  Our issue is that we literally have absolutely no idea where to start looking for the best tasting wines.  A friend recently recommended attending a wine festival so we could try and find our favorite.  Ever since I moved to New Jersey I have seen signs for a ton of wineries, but didn’t know until recently about the Washington Lake Park Wine Festival.

Celebrating the 2nd Annual Washington Lake Park Wine Festival, this event is back by popular demand to uncork your summer fun. With 18 wineries coming together and samplings of over 300 different wines, I’m sure we are both going to find wine that we fall in love with. Slated for Saturday and Sunday, June 21st and 22nd, the event will be from 12-5pm each day with gates opening at 11:30am.

Some of the wineries featured are:
Amalthea Cellars, Auburn Road Vineyards, Bellview Winery, Cava Winery, Cedarvale Vineyards, Chestnut Run Farms, Coda Rossa Winery, DiBella Winery, DiMatteo Vineyard, Heritage Vineyards, Monroeville Vineyard, Plagido’s Winery, Renault Winery, Sharrott Winery, Tomasello Winery, Valenzano Winery, and Wagonhouse Winery. These wineries include some international winners including double gold, fold, silver, and bronze winners from competitions like the Indy International Wine Competition and the International Finger Lakes Competition.

In addition to amazing New Jersey wines, there will be incredible culinary treats, great live music, hand-made artisan crafts, and even kids activities!

Join me and Sip into Summer the right way. This is great Jersey find and I can’t wait.

The “Washington Lake Park Wine Festival” is produced by GPS, Inc of New Egypt, NJ. Our proud sponsors include: Giggles, Gaggles & Gulps; NJ.com; The South Jersey Times & The Washington Twp Times.
