Homemade Chocolate Pudding Presented by TruMoo

Disclaimer: This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TruMoo for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

As Skibbles gets older and older, I’ve realized that I need to start making sure we have snacks on hand.  Unfortunately, there’s not many snacks available that I would choose as being healthy that I consumed when I was little.  Luckily, now I can change that.  I was recently invited to take part in a campaign to make a TruMoo Milk recipe and I knew I was to make a snack.  I decided upon pudding and the rest is history.

I can’t believe I never realized how easy it was to actually make homemade pudding, but now that I have done so, there’s no going back.  Less ingredients, healthy, and the taste is so much better. Whisk together TruMoo Chocolate Milk and arrowroot powder, pour into a saucepan, add honey, and stir constantly until its thicken.  THAT’S IT!  Voila, pudding!  Crazy right?
Put in containers to harden overnight and when you wake up in the morning, you’ll have gooey, smooth homemade pudding!  Umm, yum!  Sign me up to eat all the containers please.
We even make our own homemade whipped topping too!  It’s even easier than the pudding!
Ingredients:
2 cups TruMoo Chocolate Milk
1/4 cup raw honey
3 tbsp arrowroot powder (Organic cornstarch can be used instead)
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 tsp butter
Homemade Whipped Topping Recipe
Directions:
In a bowl, whisk together the TruMoo Chocolate Milk and arrowroot powder.  Pour into a medium saucepan over medium heat. Let heat for one minute, then add the honey.  Stir to combine.  Continue to stir constantly until thickened. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and butter. Evenly distribute into four containers. Serve warm or chill in the fridge for four hours before serving.  Serves 4.
*Note: arrowroot powder makes the texture more gooey than store boxed pudding that you may be used too.
**One note: We do hope that TruMoo removes carrageenan from their products in the future.
