A Mother Is Born: An Open Letter to My Daughter + Pamper’s Giveaway

Being a mother is by far the hardest, yet most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life.  I have no idea where I would be right now if my daughter hadn’t arrived when she did.  I am beyond thankful for the blessings she bestows upon me every single day.  I love her more than words can describe and thanks to Pampers,  this Mother’s Day I am joining with other mom’s to write a letter to my girl letting her know what she means to be.  I encourage you to do the same!

Dear Skibbles,

You may not know this, but over two years ago, you changed our lives forever. I knew from a very young age that I desperately wanted to be a mother, but I could have never imagined what being your mother would do to me.  I am a better person because of you.  Everyday that you wake up you teach me something new about life.

You came at the perfect time into our lives and for 41 weeks I cherished every single moment that you spent inside me.  From wondering if I was feeling you start to move inside my belly to full out kicks, I began to love you so deeply before I even saw your face, held your hand, or smelled your sweet milk breath.

And for the past almost 18 months, I can loved watching you go from cooing to babbling, to small sentences. I have watched you learn to roll, crawl, walk, and run.  I have watched you grow in a fierce, determined, head strong firecracker in your short lifespan. But more importantly, I have watched you teach me to be a better person.  To to listen more carefully, to play more passionately. but most importantly, to love more deeply,

They say “When a baby is born, a Mother is born.” When you were born, I was born into a mother. And no one can ever take away how much I truly love you.

For now and until always, Mommy
