Fun In The Sun: Thirty One Thermal Tote Review & Giveaway

June 4, 2013 by Larisha Campbell 27 Comments

Today’s Fun in the Sun event with The Thrifty Nifty Mommy Blogger Network, hosted by Open Hands, is sponsored by Thirty-one gifts by Jess Grieco.

About the company:  Thirty One was started 10 years ago (Happy Anniversary!) by a group of women that wanted to give other women the opportunity to own their own business.  They wanted their business to be one where women felt they deserved to treat themselves and those around with with a special gift.  And from that a beautiful business was born.

Living just 45 minutes from the Jersey shore, we are bound to be at the beach A LOT.  With Memorial Day kicking off the summer season, we’ve already been down there once and it was so fun watching Baby Skibbles explore the sand.  However, I don’t want to spend a ton of money each time we go on boardwalk food.  For one, there’s not always the most healthy options available there, but more importantly for us, the cost can definitely add up.  I also didn’t want to have to lug around a huge cooler, because we just don’t need that much stuff.  So I was on the hunt for something large enough to hold a few drinks and some snacks or sandwiches.  Luckily, I was given the opportunity to review for Thirty-one Gifts by Jess Grieco again and was thrilled when she sent the Out N’ About Thermal Bag.

Jess is an independent sales rep for Thirty One. She is amazing, quickly responds to all my questions, and shipped my products in record speed.  It was once again a breathe of fresh air working with her.  You don’t find consultants like her everyday.

I was able to pick out my color choices (there’s 6 available) and opted out of personalizing the bag, though that option is definitely available.  I choose the Lotsa Dots. When the bag arrived, I loved that it was folded and compact making it great for storage.

I was amazed at how big it was.  It was definitely larger than I was expecting.  It is 9.5″H x 11″W x 6.5″D.  You do have to put ice packs inside to keep food cold.  It would be awesome if Thirty-One would consider putting built in ice packs in their thermal bags. The thermal lining is water resistant and helps keep your food at the temperature it is.  But even needing icepacks, I easily fit a few bottles of water and some yummy snacks for while we were away.  It was the perfect size for what I was looking for to hold our food.

There are also two handles on the bag.  A small, hand strap that make carrying easy.  But there’s also an adjustable shoulder strap that you can just swing over your arm and still have to free hands.

I also love that the print matches the Inside Out Bag that I already have since I love to coordinate things together.

BUY IT: You can purchase the Out n’ About Thermal or check out the hundreds of other available items from Thirty One Gifts by going HERE.  This particular thermal retails for just $30.

WIN IT: One lucky reader is going to win their own Thirty One Out N’ About Thermal bag.  Just fill out the Rafflecopter form below.  Giveaway is open to US Residents only until 6/19/13 at 12:00am EST.  Good luck!

Inside out bag…it would give me something smaller than the diaper bag I already have for when we go on short trips.
