Sweet Roll Hair Styler Review

April 30, 2013 by Larisha Campbell 4 Comments

Sweet Roll
About the company: Sweet Roll is the most unique hair styler available on the market.  Made here in the USA, this product is environmentally friendly, convenient, and truly saves times. You can set a full head of hair with a single roller or use 3 small rollers for tight curls. It’s ready in just minutes.
My hair does not hold curls AT ALL. It never really has, and in the case that I could get it to curl I would spend HOURS rolls and keeping the curlers in my hair and by the time I could take it out, my neck literally was strained from the weight of all the curlers plus I had a headache from them being wrapped so tight.

When I heard about Sweet Roll, naturally, I was interested in putting it to the test.  I haven’t even tried curling my hair in probably 4 years just because I was tired of all the work, but Andrew loves when I do curl my hair, so I was excited to try it! I received a large and small package of the products to review.  The large pack comes with 2 large curlers and 2 bows and the small package comes with 3 curlers and bows.

Hair curled after using the 2 large Sweet Rolls for 20 mins

It took me awhile to be able to actually use them because they have to be microwaved and a week before Sweet Roll arrived ours broke. We have decided not to purchase a new one so I had to get somewhere that did have one. Over Easter weekend I threw the large ones in our travel bags since I knew where we were staying had a microwave. I followed the instructions (about less than a minute to heat up both) and put them in my hair per the directions. I left them in for 20 mins and took my hair down.

You can watch the video of how it exactly works below:

I was impressed with how easily it curled my hair without me really having to do any work. They are soft and didn’t pull on my hair at all. As a busy mom this product was so amazing for me. I don’t have to spend 30 minutes standing in front of a mirror, my arms hurting from holding a curling iron, or hair being pulled from a head full of curlers. The curls stayed in my hair for about 5 hours, which is amazing for me! I definitely think next time I need to leave in the full 30 minutes to product even better results.

Improvements: I really wish there was another way to warm them up since we don’t have a microwave.  I would love to use this product every day but unfortunately I’m not able to at this point.

Buy it:  You can purchase the large or small sets of curlers HERE.

Wow, what a great idea! My mom curls her hair all the time with old-fashioned hot rollers…I'll definitely have her check these out!
