When I got pregnant with Baby Skibbles and found out I was due in November, I thought it was great. I would have plenty of time between when she was born and the next summer to bounce back into my shape I was at before and get back into my bikini. What. A. Joke. The summer came before I could even blink and I was in no way comfortable to be in a bikini. I found a cute bathing suit last year, but I still desired for more. Another entire year has gone by, and I’m still not 100% comfortable fitting into a bikini. I wanted something that made me feel “sexy” again while still being conservative and hiding those not so flattering extra baby love.
I was thrilled when I learned about Purpuratta, a Columbian company that originally started by specializing in women’s lingerie before adding a swimwear line. I fell in love with their one piece Elegant Halter Monokini. It comes in four different colors: white, navy blue, Mediterranean Print and Black, that you see me wearing in the photos in this post, and is made from imported nylon and spandex.
BUY IT: The Elegant halter Monokini Swimsuit retails for $74. Purpuratta also carries lingerie, swim coverups, and loungewear.
